Happy Birthday, Mom! Breast Cancer Survivor Turns 55

I don’t do that many super personal posts here. But today is a special occasion. Today is my mother’s birthday – she’s turning 55. I believe this year also marks 6 years since her lumpectomy and radiation treatment. Last year, my father passed away of cancer (30 yrs as heavy smoker) just 3 months shy of his 55th birthday, so that makes Mom’s birthday this year even more special.
